Alternative Status

Alternative status overview

Each strategic alternative in Weissr Capex has a status that controls its visibility, reporting inclusion, and collaboration settings.

Statuses help users manage draft work, hide outdated versions, or lock alternatives for private review.

How to change status

Change status for a single alternative

  1. Click an alternative to open its detail panel

  2. Use the Visibility toggle to make it Private or Public

  3. Use the Action menu → Deactivate if needed

Bulk change multiple alternatives

  1. Go to Strategic alternatives

  2. Select multiple rows

  3. Click Bulk actions → Activate / Deactivate / Assign owner

Using tags as custom statuses

Tags allow you to create flexible workflows like:

  • “Needs review”

  • “Cash-flow pending”

  • “Risk flagged”

To tag alternatives

  1. Select one or more alternatives

  2. Click Bulk actions → Apply tags

  3. Enter or select existing tags

You can then filter by tag in the strategy view.
Use tags like “Q3 Draft” or “Internal Review” to group alternatives across users or teams.

Best practices

  • Keep only finalized alternatives as Active

  • Use Private status for sensitive or early-stage work

  • Archive unused versions by setting them as Deactivated

  • Use tags to coordinate team reviews without affecting report visibility
