Version 5.3 (CM) - April 29th 2026

Weissr Capex Management

Custom views and navigation

Fixed request phase list views have been replaced by fully configurable Custom Views, giving teams a flexible way to organize their work.

  • Superusers define views with their own filters, layouts, view types, and sections

  • Users can personalize a view and easily restore it to the defaults

  • Existing tabs continue to work — they've been migrated automatically (see Migration below)

Navigation improvements

  • Collapsible sections keep long navigation menus tidy

  • The navigation panel is now resizable to suit different working styles

  • Smarter return navigation when leaving a request details page

Power Mode improvements

Power Mode gets a faster, more powerful grid experience:

  • Group summaries show totals at a glance

  • Columns can be fixed and reordered

  • Exports now respect grouping and include totals

  • Request names are clickable — open a request directly from the grid

  • Currency indicators make multi-currency data easier to read

Investment Plan improvements

The Investment Plan is now far more flexible, especially for large or complex financial datasets:

  • Available as a Custom View

  • Configure which years are visible — hide historical years to reduce clutter

  • Switch between monthly, quarterly, and yearly resolution

  • Save personal and admin-defined default layouts

  • Adjustable column widths

Shared improvements

Improvements that apply across views:

  • Filters are now applied per view, not globally

  • Restoring defaults works consistently everywhere

  • Refreshed grid UI

  • Default Mode is being phased out in favor of Custom Views

  • When editing inside a popup, pressing Escape now closes only the dropdown, not the surrounding popup

Migration

Existing tabs have been migrated to Custom Views with no impact to your data — same request lists, same names. Superusers can manage these migrated views going forward.

Copy property value from parent on child request creation

A new property-level setting lets a value be automatically copied from the parent request when a child request is created. Once copied, the value behaves like any normal property value — editability, visibility, and validation rules continue to apply.

  • Enabled directly on the property — no extra mapping or advanced configuration required

  • Applies only at the moment of child request creation

Impact: Speeds up child request creation for teams that frequently inherit values (e.g. cost centers, categories, owners) from the parent.

Constant sender email for notifications

Email deliverability has been improved by introducing a configurable, constant sender address for all notifications.

  • Notifications can now be sent from a fixed email address

  • Supports optional sender name configuration

  • Avoids spam-filter issues caused by dynamic sender addresses

Impact: Customers can configure allow-list rules more easily, ensuring notifications are reliably delivered and don't end up in junk folders.

User management improvements

  • The Licensed flag can now be edited directly from user details

  • Phone number is no longer required during setup, even with MFA enabled

Impact:
Simplifies user administration and onboarding while maintaining security requirements at login.

🤖 AI-powered chatbot (beta)

We've introduced the first iteration of the Weissr chatbot, letting users interact with Capex data using natural language. This release focuses on basic request search, filtering, and data retrieval, laying the foundation for more advanced capabilities in future releases.

👉 Learn more: Weissr Chatbot: Interacting with Capex Data Using Natural Language

What you can do

  • Search and filter requests using natural language

  • Create single basic empty request

  • Retrieve request data and selected property values

  • Open requests directly from chat via link

  • Refine results through follow-up questions

How it works

  • Intent-based understanding
The chatbot interprets user input and routes it to the relevant functionality.

  • Follow-up questions
If the request is unclear or incomplete, the chatbot asks for clarification before continuing.

  • Permission-aware results
Only requests and data available to the user are returned.

Current limitations

This is an early version with limited scope.

  • Supports a defined set of actions and queries

  • May ask for clarification on complex or ambiguous inputs

  • Result size is limited for performance reasons
