Connecting assets to the cash flow model
Connecting an asset to a cash flow block makes it appear in the cash flow model, feeding its investment data into the financial calculations for that site. The connection is managed in the Scope tab, not in Assets. Each asset category can be linked to one cash flow block type, which is set up by your Weissr administrator.
⚠️ Warning: Always disconnect an asset from its cash flow block before deleting the site it belongs to. Failing to do so leaves missing connections that can put the entire model and project in jeopardy.
Connect an asset to a cash flow block
Go to Base Alternative / Strategic Building Block / Strategic Alternative and open the Scope tab.
Navigate in the tree to the entity where the asset is: Division > Site > Sub-industry > Category.
In the Scope grid, find the site and expand it by clicking the arrow next to it. Then expand the machine category to make the Cash Flow Block column available.
Hover over the cell in the Cash Flow Block column, open the dropdown, and select the cash flow block type you want this asset to be represented by in the model.
💡 Info: The available cash flow block types are created and managed by your Weissr administrator.
