How to use the Asset Amount Distribution feature

You would like the amount of a bigger reinvestment to be distributed over several years to minimize its capex impact, Asset Amount Distribution (AAD) is for you

  1. Make sure to be in the Base Alternative/Strategic Building Block/Strategic Alternative → Assets → Asset Mapping tab.

  2. Use the navigation tree on the left side of the screen to reach the relevant entity you wish to export the Asset Mapping of (Division → Site → Sub-industry → Category).

  3. Once you found the asset in question, look for the cell of this row in the Distribution column. Click on the down arrow on the right-hand side of the cell. If you have already defined one or several specific distribution(s) (e.g. 33% previous year, 34% actual year, 33% next year), click on the distribution you'd like to choose

    1. If you haven't but would like to set several distributions, contact your Weissr administrator.

    2. If you would like to manually set a distribution for this specific asset, click on Manual.

  4. In the window that opens about changing Distribution type cleaning all reinvestment changes, click Yes if you want to proceed with the manual distribution.

  5. Now that Manual Distribution is selected, double-click on the amount of the asset in question. A window opens showing you the In-Use Year of the asset in yellow (with the total amount in that year).

  6. Now it is up to you to divide that amount in as many years as you think is best and write that divided amount in each year you want. The sum of the amounts you enter will make up the full asset amount once you click on Save.

The selected distribution will apply for both to the initial investment (In-Use Year), but also for every reinvestment(s) in the future (Replacement Year)

In Investment Plan, each distributed amount will show for each year they happen, under the same name.
