How to retire an asset (Asset Ledger)

You would like to retire an asset or a group of assets, here's how

  1. Make sure to be in the Base Alternative/Strategic Building Block/Strategic Alternative → Assets → Asset Ledger tab.

  2. Navigate deep enough in the navigation tree on the left side of the screen to reach the entity in which the asset or group of assets you want to retire are (Division → Site → Sub-industry → Category).

  3. The following table describes how to retire an asset in the Asset Ledger grid and in the Investment Plan.

Find the asset in the list of the Asset Ledger, and click on it to select it.

Find the asset in the list of the Asset Ledger, and click on it to select it.

Scroll right until you see the Retired column appear.

If this asset has a Std. Life that fits in the /wiki/spaces/WH/pages/515932329, you will see a list of reinvestment(s) in the Investment Plan, each of them separated by year.

Double-click in the cell of that column, and write the year you wish to retire this asset, and press Enter ().

In the Investment Plan, click on the first reinvestment that finds itself after the year you would like to retire the asset, click on the three dots (context menu) to the left of the investment and select Retire in (year)


This reinvestment and all the following ones will be cancelled, because the asset just got retired one year prior, leaving only the reinvestment(s) finding themselves before that year.
